Proceedings in Commissioners' Court.
Board met in the Auditor’s office, in Rensselaer, March 11, 1860. Present II. Brown, C. M. Watson and Jared Benjamin, Commissioners, Ira W. Yeoman Auditor, and A. J. Yeoman Sheriff. The first day was taken up in receiving the reports of the Trustees of Jordan, Wheatfield, Kankakee, Milroy and Newton townships, and allowing their bills for services. The second day was occupied in receiving and approving the reports of the Trustees of Carpenter, Gillam, Walker and Barkley townships, and allowing their bills for services. The third day received reports of the Trustees of Keener and Marion townships, approving the same and allowing their claims for services. Also issued orders in favor of W. P. Ordered that a bridge be built across the Iroquois river one-half mile above Rensselaer, where said river is crossed by the Hanging Grove Road, and authorized the Auditor to receive plans and specifications for same. , Resolved to take no action upon cianges advocated in the boundaries of Union township, until the June, 1869. session, when memorials would be received.
