Rensselaer Union, Volume 1, Number 18, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 28 January 1869 — MARRIED. [ARTICLE]

MARRIED.

On Sunday, J:mnarv~^h r ~1>44) T at the residence of Mr. R. J. Hopkins, in Rensselaer, by Elder D. T. Halstead, Mr. Samuel Babb, of Remington, and Miss Catherine Geiger, of Wolcott, White county. The young couple have our best wishes in their new found happiness. And if the trials and vexations incident in life, should press too heavily upon her, and in an unguarded moment her tongue shall reveal a too petulant regard for fxM, we are confident that he who has braved the dangers of the bat-tle-field will not so far forget his gallantry as to attempt to gap her. We suppose the cake was 'of extra quality, from the fact it was lost in trasit, an unregenerate guerrilla having foraged it, for which may the Dispepsia have mercy on his jts&oniaoh—if he sins no more.
