Persons having property to dispose of should make arrangcnjflkts with some real estate dealer iiTrown, who has more time and better oportunities for effecting bargains than persons living in the country. In looking over tho Umox, it will be seen that Messrs; Dwiggins & Thompson, Hammond «fc Spitler, Wm. L. MeConugll and John Baldus are engaged in this business. And it will pay you — certain—to advertise your property in the Union. The cost is hut a trifle. •It works this way: By inserting a notice in our paper, your want is made known directly, not only to hundreds of readers, but in many cases they tell it to others who do hot enjoy the happy privilege of perusing its columns, these in turn tell others, especially if they hear anybody inquiring for a location. Then, again, a stranger comes into the place, looking for a farm; hg puts, up with cither mine host of the Dunlap House or the genial and Svholc-souled proprietor of the Xustin Hotel; after partaking of the ‘fitibstaiHial fare on the well-kept table, and he has recovered some' what from the fatiguing ride which brought hint to our beautiful town, he makes known his business to the landlord and asks him for informamatiou. Friend- Dunlap and friend Austin take the Union, read it, have seen your advertisement, and at, once tell the stranger,-enlarging on the location and its advantages, and next morning you have a visit, and if terms suit, make a contract. — . ■% ■«« ♦- * —- weeks’ of steady, mild, sun-shiny winter-weather, was interrupted yesterday morning by a snowstorm which set ip from the south-west, and continued all the forenoon.
