School Institute.
Our enterprising Examiner, assisted by Professor J. A. Burnham, held a common school Institute at Watson’s School House, on Saturday last. There was a good attendance and the occasion was one of much interest. Some of, the exercises in the evening were very nice. C. M. Watson- presided with his usual •skill, for which he received a vote of thanks. Every teacher wa6bonrfitted by the association. The time is coming when the teacher will assume his proper van- i tage ground. Let the stagnatjou J of the old fogies come in contact with new fancied martyrs, . m d golden mean can be reached. Wc. hope the Examiner will continue the gogdwtffk of his ministry.
K 8? We tender thanks to Senator Morton, Hon. Schuyler Colfax and Hon. Horace Capron, for recent Congressional and Departmental documents.
