PreKminary Meetto|^ of Jasper County. IntrmliaE Procerditiga. Fifteen or twenty of tbe'iufluential citizens of Jasper county met at the law office ol Messrs. D wiggins A. Thompson, on Monday afternoon, December 7, 1668, for the purpose of taking the preliminary steps in the formation of a Railroad Company to build a road from Rensselaer to some point on the C. C. & I. C. Railroad. Below is a minutorot- their proceedings: The meeting was organized by calling Mr. Thomas Boroughs to the chair, ami electing Horace E. James Secretary. On motion of I. M. Stackhouse, the Chair appointed Messrs. I. M. Stackhouse, R. S. Dwiggins and E. P. Hammond a committee to draft Articles of Association for the permanent organization of a company to build a Railroad from Rensselaer to .a point on the Cincinnati, Chicago & Indiana Central Railroad. The committee were instructed to report at a meeting to be held at th'e Court House im'Jlensselaer, at 2 o’clock, P. M., Monday, December 21, 1868. On motion of I, M. Stackhouse, the Capital Stock of the company was decided to be *200,000. On motion of R, S. Dwiggins, the shares were fixed at *SO each. Ordered that a copy of these proceedings be furnished to the Rkjssseselahk Union with the .request of publication. ■ Adjourned to meet at the Court Honse at 2 rf’clock. P.
