As per call, the Iroquois Poultry Association convened at tbe court honse in Rensselaer, at 1 o'clock p. m., December td. 1879, President I. B. Washburn, in tbo chair. Member* present: C. W. Clifton, B«er«tnry; W. B. Novel* and H.W. Wood, directors; Dr. M. B. Alter, C. J. Brown, D, H: Yeoman and Jaa. W. McEwen. A constitution and by .law* were adopted, which wOl be published next week. The society then proceeded to the election of officers f«-r l bo ensuing year, resulting as follow*: President, I. B. Washburn, Rensselaer; rice president, 8. C. Maxwell, Remington; secsetary, C. W. Clifton, Rensselaer; treasurer, W. R. Nowels, Rensselaer; directors, W. R. Newels, Rensselaer; W. R. Love, Remington; C. J. Brown and D H. ieotnan, Rensselaer. Membership dusr were fixed nt 25 cents per annum, payable in advance to tbe secretary, most of which was handed in at once. Informal discussion was sprung on several topics. Much amusement and instruction resulted, and a general (food time was had. Subject of duc-uteion for next mectiug: “Best method of building poultry houses.” Revolted, thxt tbe proceedings of this meeting -be published in all three of our county pai>ers, (editors consenting).
