Major Biddle, who is ‘.he attorney for the Kankakee River Improvement Company, says the work under design will begin at the janction of Potato and Pine creeks, above Mad Lake and in St. Joseph county. The ditch will run from there through Mud lake and thence as nearly straight as is practical to a point near the Pittsburg, Ft. Wayne A Chicago railway crossing of the river. From that point it is expected another company will continue the work into the Illinois line, latter company, he says, is organized and fnrther advanced with work than the company for which he is the attorney.
