Public School Notes.

Blanche Ponsler who belonged to the Freshman class has quit school here but will re-enter in the country. Ths time will soon be here for the Christmas holidays. The unusual number of vacations this term has made the duties of the teachers much harder as the constant interruptions to the work keep the scholars restless. Last Saturday evening the Juniors and Seniors were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Sanders. The admission, as announced on the cards of invitation, was one conundrum. The reading and answering of these afforded much amusement and the entire evening passed very pleasantly. Friday afternoon, after the usual literary exercises of the High School were concluded, Mr. Fendig, according to previous arrangement, gave an interesting talk on his trip through the South.
