Application for License. Notice is hereby glvon to tlie citizens of tho second ward in the City of Renssolaer, tlie citizens of tlie City of Rensselaer, Indiana, and tlie citizens of Marion Townsliip, Jasper County, Indiana, that the undersigned, George A. Strlcfcladen, a male inhabitant of tlie State of Indiana and over the age of twenty-ODe years and lias been and is of good moral character, not in tlie habit of becoming Intoxicated and a lit person in every respect to be Intrusted with tho sale of intoxicating liquors and lias been a continuous resident of said townsliip for over ninety days last past and time this applicant Is tlie actual owner and proprietor of said business and will be such if license be granted, will apply to the Board of Commissioners of said Jasper County, Indiana, at their September term, 1896. said term .commencing on Monday, September 7th 1896, fora license to sell and barter spirituous, vinous, malt and ail other intoxicating liquors In a less quantity than a quart at a time, with tho privilege of allowing and permitting tlie same to be drank on tlie following premises towit: Tlie precise location of tho premises on which the uuderslgned desires to sell and barter with the privilege of allowing tho same to he drank thereon, is in a one story brick building, one hundred and ten (lio) feet long by thirty-six (36) feet wide, on Van Rensselaer street aiid situated on lot number four (41, block number (4), of tlie original plat of Rensselaer, Indiana, and tho room in said building in which he desires to sell is specifically by outside measurement described as follows: Beginning one hundred and sixty-six an.l ono half (160)4) feet, north-westerly from tlie westerly corner of Washington street and Van Rensselaer street, thence northwesterly on Van Reus--’ selaer street thirty-six (36) feet, thence westorly parallel with Washington street eighty (80) feet, thence south-easterly parallel with Van Renssela- r street thirty-six (86) feet, thence easterly parallel with Washington street eighty (80) feet, to the place of beginning. That the said described room is separate from any other business of any kind and that no devices for amusement or muslo of any kind or character is in said room and that there is no partition or partitions in said room; that the said room can be-secure'y closed and locked and admission thereto prevented: that said room is situated upon the ground fioor and fronts on Van Rensselaer street, In said City of Rensselaer, Indiana, and is so arranged witli glass windows and glass doors so that the whole of said room may he viewed from said street. The said applicant will also at tlie time and place of applying for said license make a further request for the privilege of selling tobacco and cigars in connection therewith.
