The assignment is announced of W. H. Treworgy, wholesale lumber dealer at Boston. It is understood that the liabilities are in the viciuity of #{600.000. Because of the lack of adequate fire escapes at least six and perhaps twenty persons lost their lives in a fierce tire, at New York Tuesday Afternoon. Probably m dozen were injured. Three charreil •todies were reeoversd. Duly oUe body lias been identified. • Five persons wert drowned Sunday sight in the Delaware river, opposite Brides burg, a suburb of Philadelphia, by
the capsiting of a small rpp-boat. The victims are: Amelia Holman, Rose Brominger. Rose Breininger, Charles Minnjck, Cincinnati, 0., and John T. Roster, address unknown. None of. the bodies jhas been recovered. The three womeh and two men started for a row on the Delaware. They bad pot gone far before a heavy windstorm came upon them. The men, seeing the storin, approaching, endeavored to reach shore, but had not gone fa before the boat was caught in the squall and upset. The women sank out of sightralmost .immediately, but the men i held on to the bottom of the boat until their strength gave out.
