Wheatfield Postoffice Bobbed.

Sunday night burglars entered the poetofflce at Wheatfield and blew open the safe and secured $350, all in cash, as reported. P. E. Davis, the postmaster saw ihe robbers and shot at them, but they got away. He then sent for the Crown Point blood hounds, and they arrived Monday 9 morning. They started on a trail, but Mr. Davis, feeling sure that the thieves passed on a different side of a building than the dogs were going, and had them called back, upon which the dogs refused to follow the trail further, in any direction. The thieves, wi'l probably escape and the money never be recovered. The loss will, of coarse, fall upon Mr. Davis. - * *gj
