J- E. Alter, as drainage commissioner, L. A. Bostwick, as engineer and J. F. Watson as viewer, have completed the preliminary survey of the Hildebrand Ditch, in Carpenter and Jordan Tps., and filed their report. The. ditch and its laterals are 17 miles long, and covers that much of the great Wakarusa which went busted. It is under the Timmons law. The Monon Route’s Twins. A fine pair of twins were added Sunday night to the household of W. H. Beam, the popular and accommodating station agent Of the Monon Route at Rensselaer. One is a boy and the other a girl and both large healthy babies.
