Death of Alexander Peacock.
Alexander Peacock died last Sunday, May 24,th at the home of his brother Erastu 3 Peacock, in the west part of town. He had been sick for a long time, from a large internal tumor, and was brought back here from Kansas, about two months ago. His age was 59 years, 5 months and 20 days. He was the son of the late Jonathan and Hannah Peacock, and was born in Marion Co. Ohio. He was married to Miss Susie Fow*tLaß«rt@; JfeuL.JSgy.iJ7x 1859. She survives him, and was by his bedside daring his sickness, and death. Of eight children born to them only one, Mrs. E. J. Abbett, of H&zelton, Kans., is now living. He was a resident of Barkley Township, this county, for many years, bat removed to Kansas about 11 years ago. — T - The funeral was held at his brother’s residence Monday afternoon, Rev. R. D. Utter conducting the religions services. Interment was made in Weston cemetery.
