REMINGTON ITEMS.
Sam Bowman’s house burned last Friday during the absence of the family. It is supposed that it caught by a lamp that was left too near a curtain. The most of the content*below stairs were saved and a few things from one of the upper" rooms. The loss was partly covered by insurance. The school exhibit held at the Fair Ground May 8 was an immense success. Over $97 was received at the gate. /Montcello and Goodland were both well represented in the school work as well as the field exercises and carried away the majority of the prizes. Their school work was especially fine and well arranged. A number of visitors from the neigh> boring towns were present. One of Mr. and Mrs. 1 Pruitt’s twin boys dierf Monday 4th of Consumption. He was eleven months old, and had been sick for some time. The funeral services were held Tuesday at \ P. M. Interment in the Dobbin’s cemetery N. E. of town. Mrs. Alice BraddOck and daughter Lucile of Chicago are visiting in town. 1 —-- Miss. Cobb returned to her home in Ohio Sunday May 3rd. Born Saturday May 2nd to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bond a son. Mrs. Dr. Reed and children of Idaville came down last week to see Mrs. Graham. Mrs. Reed who is ( well known here, was Miss Laura Hall, and one of our best township teachers.
