Corean Women.
Corean women, to the Western eye, are both hideous and ungainly, whereas the men and youpg hoys are often handsome and picturesque. There is neither grace nor" elegance in the fe-‘ male rlress, which in some respects resembles that of the Chinese, and consists of a loose pair of trousers reaching to the ankle, and tied round the waist with a thick cord; on the top of this Is worn a short petticoat reaching ' to the knees, and fitted to the shoulder is a yoke or shoulder-cape, to which are attached lbng loose sleeves. This costume Is the ordinary dress of the worklng-womffip. \ -
