A FRESHET.

The Hudson Blver Higher Than for Yean—Muehbamage. Troy, N. Y., March 2. —The water in the Hudson river reached the highest point last night attained sinct* 1857. The docks are submerged to the shed roofs. In the southern part ut the city many houses are submerged to the second st-ory. Ou the west s.de the feet of lumber piled along the entrance of the Erie canal have been .vashed away. Albany, N. Y., March 3.—Tho flood here has attained greater proportions than any in years excepting only that, of 1893. The whole southern portion of the city lying on the flat land.for a distance of 200 yards back from the liver front is inundated.
