Miss Olla Hendricks visited m Goodland last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Porter are the happy possessors of a daughter. Little Ruth the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Worded h.s been very sick the past week. She is some belter at present writing. Mrs. Hardy is visiting in Idaville. About a hundred guests were present at Mr and Mrs. i Parker’s ‘mt home” Friday evening, when they were most pleasantly entertained and served with most delicious merits. •* The Presbyterians give a Cantata Christmas eve in the hall, which gives promise of being a very pleasant entertainment. The Christian church exercises are on Christmas night in the same place. May Bihgman expects to spend the Chrirtmas vacation with her friend June Bowman at Anderson. Messfs. clones and Howard who. were apparently recovered from their illness are both sick again supposed to be the result of over-taxing their strength. Miss Flora Snoddy returned to her home in Delphi Saturday. Miss Timmons has bought the Turpin property on Railroad street and will occupy it in a few weeks. Mr. Turpin has bought the Cingill property better known as father Myer’s place. Miss Anna Harlacher goes Saturday to. Peoria where she will spend the holidays. Another insane woman is re ported in the country. We did not learn her name. Mr. Bert Blood and Miss Stella Grillin were called to Jolie t Thursday by the death of a rJative,. Mrs. Winfield-Bldod. Mrs. Blotd will be remembered as haying spent a part. Miss Ikrtehell, as the guest of 'sco. Grillln anl family. She leaves ahnsban no children. Mrs; Sheets of Lafayette is visiting her'son Hal. A very pleasant.surprise party took place last week at- the home of Geo. Howard seven miles south west; the occasion being a honse warming in honor of family installation in the house.
