Dec. 2.—The official returns of the election of 2805 in lowa, now in the hands of the secretary of state, show 401,292 votes lo have been cast, of which Drake, republican nominee for governor, received 208,089; Babb (dem.j, 149,433; Crane (pop.,), 132,1T5, dnd Bacon (pro.), 11,052. The total vote is 14,518- less than two years ago. Drake’s plurality is 20,995 larger than Jackson’s in 1893.
