John Kenyon and, family are Visit ing in Fowler. Rev. Handly leaves Thursday for his new appointment at Battle Ground. It is a great disappointment to his many friends that he was not returned for another year here. A farewell union service was held in his honor Sunday evening, at which both the other churches assisted. Rev. Michaels, the new pastor of the M. hi. church and his daughter are in town. Mrs. Brewster left Saturday for Watseka for a visit to her daughter. Died, Sunday Sept. 22, at his home in Chicago, George Bartoo aged 70 years, 6 months and 18 days. Mr. Bartoo was a brother of L. F. and E. Bartoo and Mrs. S. M. Bond of this place. Rev. J. B. Crowe is still lying dangerously sick at the home of his sister in Hanover. Mr. Crowe has many warm personal friends here who regret deeply to hear of his ill-, ness. > «, , t Mrs. Patton left Tuesday to visit her husband, the Dr. x in Oklahoma.
