MORE CEMENT WALKS.
The Town Board Monday evening finished up their part of the cement walk program in good shape. They condemned all the old walk on the north side of Washington street, in Block nine, and ordered cement walks within 40 days. This is the block north of the public square, and the walk will be~from Forsythe’s corner, to the Makeever House, or more exactly from Van Rensselaer street to Cullen street. When this order is carried out, as it will be promptly, an d also the order of the previous session for cement walks on the next block west, all the main business part .of town will have cement sidewalks and cement street crossings. Alter & Bostwick, the civil engineers, were ordered to survey Makemself ditch and the region found about to ascertain if their is no practical way to divert a portion of the water now flowing through it, into some other channel. Dayton street sewer was reported finished and was accepted. Geo. Strickfaden was refunded $lO on pool table license.
