Water Works Election Ordered.
Other Town Board Matters. The Town Board, at their regular semi-monthly meeting, Monday night, had presented to them a petition, fully and legally signed, asking that an election be ordered on the proposition to establish a system of waterworks in the town. The prayer of the petition was granted and the election ordered to be held Tuesday, Sept. 3rd, 1895. J. H. Jessen was given the contract for the Dayton street tile drain, " at 18 cents per lineal foot, the contractor to furnish the tile and do all the work. The town Clerk was ordered to v deposit the town ordinance record and other documents in Ferguson’s vault. - James F. Irwin and R. P. Ben jamin were appointed inspectors for the water works election, in west and east precincts, respectively.
