The Fourth at Kniman.

The celebration at Kniman was one of the largest and best ever held in northern Jasper. People came in great numbers, from all directions, including two long excursion trains. The largest township delegation was f rom Keener, and was awarded a fine, large flag. Fine music was furnished by Kmman and DeMotte bands. The robbing of the Dead Wood stage coach, was performed with great success. Abraham Halleck, Esq., was the orator of the day, and his effort was greatly appreciated. The “Wild West” show was also there, with its tent, and had a crowded audience Other attractions were racing, dancing Ac. The number of the crowd present has been estimated at 3,000. The gTeat success of the celebration was largely due to the energetic efforts of John O’Conner, the president of the day.
