FIRE WORKS FOR THE FOURTH,
In Place Of The Balloon Business. The Republican is pleased to be able to announce that negotiations for a balloon ascenßion, and parachute “descension” here, on July 4th, have fallen through, and that the large amount of cash set aside for the balloon business will be expended for fire-works, instead. • An unusually large and fine display will be made, and w Iml "ir"arirow"f this locality, a part of them will be day Ire works, for the especial benefit of those from out of town who can not conveniently remain for the night display. The selection as well as the firing of the fire works will be under the special control of W. J. Miller, who has bad more experience in buying and using fire-works than any other man in Jasper coanty. He knows just what to buy to get the best display for the money, and also how to use what be buys in the most effective manner. *
