An Iron Bridge at Dunn’s.

The Jasper and Porter Co. commissioners met at Hammond Tuesday, to take action in regard to a new bridge over the Kankakee river, at Dunn’s crossing. The previous decision had been to make another wooden bridge, but bids for an iron bridge were so favorable that one of them was accepted, from the Lane Bridge Co., of Chicago. The bridge is to be 185 feet long, and to cost $2,380. It will be supported on tubular iron pier*, filled with concrete. And these will rest on wooden pilings.
