The Carcass Was On Top.

Daniiville, Jane 2,1395, Editor Republican:— Dear Sir, In reply to an item in your paper last week by our (would be) correspondent relating the little affair at the ranch, I would say that if he wishes to tell the truth, he will have to come again. This Egyptian Mummy, who is foreman there, never knocked me down with a blow, for it is not in him to do so; but when he threw his big carcass against me I went down with the carcass on top. If I turn away and not fight 1 suppose you would have got a column or two about how bad I was whipped. He could not whip nobody, as it would take a ten horse power fan to keep him in wind while he would be trying to do so. rank Quitter. Respectfully, A. Lyons.
