The President has signed an order directing that Admiral Meade be retired on liis own application, and in doing so administered a severe rebuke to him. Mrs. James Nelson, 20, is in the Crawfordsville, lud., jail for murdering her child. She concealed it in her room, claiming to believe it had been kidnaped.
