DUNNVILLE ITEMS.
Cut worms are destroying the gardens in this vicinity. Have also injured the oats considerably. The Adkins and Hughes establishment is again open. They have dissolved partnership and Hughes runs the business alone. The people of Kankakee Tp. are plowing their meadows for eorn. More corn is being planted ' than was ever known before in this township. School closed at Dunnville, Friday’ ment. Joseph Turner, Sr. met with quite a serious accident on May 3rd. He was doing some hauling on his farm, when his team became frightened and ran away with him. His leg was broken and his ankle dislocated. He is suffering a good deal but we hope to see him recover soon, ; I. D. Dunn, one of our early settlers has employed O. M. Turner to tile 80 acres of land known as the Pehler Marsh. The work is now in progress and we hope scme more of our citizens will follow his example in this. King DeArmond is now attending school at Valparaiso.
