THE REMINGTON ELECTION.
The election in Remington last week was .not quite a unanimous scoop for the Republicans. In fact, they fell down on two of their candidates, and two “Citizens,” ticket candidates were elected. The successful Republican candidates were For Trustees, Wm. Shepherd, and J. H. Allman, and for Marshal, I. D. Luckey. The successful Citizens’ candidates were, for Tiustee, A. Beasley, and for Clerk and Treasurer, Ira W. Yeoman. The defeated Republican candidate for Trustee was W. H. Marquiss; for Clerk and Treasurer, C. H. Peck. The succesful Republican candidates hal no successful citizens, Mr. Beasley, is a Republican; the other, Mr. Yeoman, is a Democrat.
