Tyler is working in the Nelson Morris mills, he having taken the place of Joe Tyler, who has charge of John Sigler’s store. _=____r “ The ice cream social given at E. G. Warren's last Saturday evening, was well attended and all seemed to have a good time general ly. The jury in the case of Dabnke vs. Beachler after staying out all night agreed to disagree. The justice dismissed them and ordered a new trial for Tuesday, May 7 . Mrs. Summers, whose sickness was mentioned some weeks ago, took a relapse and is now very bad again. Mrs. Chas. Freels, of Water Valley was visiting friends and relatives in town Saturday and Sunday. The Holland people had a fine entertainment at the church last Wednesday night, and it was a success because whatever the Hollanders go into they go in with a vim that means success. Is’n’t it about time our citizens, especially the old soldiers were making some arrangements about Decorration day? Let us take hold in time and make it the best Decoration day we have ever had. We are glad to note that the suggestion about our streets in last weeks Republican called forth discussions both pro and con in reference to what would be the best material to put over the sand. Let us talk this up and do something as it will not be long now before haying will commence and hauling through this sand, is not to be thought of if it can be helped.
