Jud Freeman, “King of Bartenders," is dead in Mexico. The body of Roy Mt Culver, secretary of the Y. M. C. A. of Newark, N. J., has been found in the Clyde river near gavannah, N. Y. Culver mysteriously disappeared about six weeks ago. Hetty Green, the richest woninn in America, was forced to get off a New York street car and walk because the only money she had was a counterfeit dime. The Texas and Louisiana Lumber Association has resolved to abstain from selling lumber to other than legitimate lumber dealers and that all others must purchase from middle men. A St. Johns (N. F.) paper announces the United States Atlantic squadron, under the command of Admiral Meade, will visit Newfoundland waters this summer, where it is likely it will mept the British fleet under Admiral Erskine. Notice has been given by the Standard Oil Company that it can no longer furnish fuel oil and its customers must look elsewhere. Scores of factories in Cleveland use this fuel oil and they will be forced to abandon'it. The genft-al opinion seems to be little or no change in coal price will be made. < , 1
