Free silver Democratic members of th-Fifty-third Congress issued a manifesto urging all Democrats to make the money question the paramount issue, and to eudcavor to place the Democratic partv on record In favor of the “Immediate restoration of the free and unlimited coinage of gold and sliver at the present log al ratio of 10 to 1. without waiting for the ai I or consent of any other nation, as it existed prior to 1873, such coin to be a full legal tender for all debts, public and private.” The document was signed bv R.
