Xcw York Advertiser. Sometimes school board officers are very officious and arrogant in manner. An elderly but fresh-look-ing woman opened her door to onr lately and answered the following questions: “Have you any children?" “Yes." “How many?” “Three.” “Are they all at school?’ “No.” “Are any of them?” “No.” “We must see to that,” said the man, pompously, taking out a notebook. “Now, your name and address?” Given. “Your children's names?* Also given. “Now their ages?” “Well, let me think.” answered, the womqn, with a gleam of fun in her eyes; “Willie, the youngest, is thirty, and was last week.” “Thunder and lighting!"
