, Mis. Chas. Dye died at the hospital in Chicago Tuesday. Feb. 12. She was supposed to be improving and expected to be home soon, and her death was —a great shock to her friends The remains were taken to Wolcott for interment. ' A most select masquerade .party was given by Mrs. and Mr. Haj-tley, last Thurtday, to which only about twenty-five "young nurried couples were'invited. Mrs. Riley whose, illness has been so fitq'lently mentioned in this column,'died Monday at 7 a. m. The funeral serv i ceg were held Tuesday at the Catholic church, after which the remains were taken to Flora for interment. ...
The Daughters of Rebecca held most interesting initiatory services Tuesday night. Charles Russell, a little two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Seymour died very suddenly Sunday afternoon. The little fellow was apparently as well as ever Saturday evening. It is thought that he ate paper which formed into ball, rupturing the bowels, and causing death. Mrs. John Bartoo and Mrs. Wm. Little are visiting their sister, Mrs. Saunderson, at Brook, this week. Miss M. P. Boltes who has been so seriously ill for several weeks is improving slowly. Mr. Carson performed two marriage ceremonies last Sunday. One in the afternoon for Mr. Chisholm and Miss Edna Yancy; and one in the evening for Mr. Will Hicks nnd Miss Minnie. Blake.
Mr. Murphy’s new house is rapidly assuming proportions and bids fair to be ready for occupancy by the first of March. Bert Welch has taken possession of the jewelry business recently purchased of Mr. Thompson. Born Saturday Feb. 16th, to Mr. and Mrs. David Detrick, a son and daughter’
