Bought Beaver Lake Land.
"W. S. VanNatta, H. C. Harris and Leroy Templeton, with J. J. Perrin and Dr. Gross, of Lafayette, have purchased 6020 acres of Beaver Lake land and propose to convert it into a garden of fertile soil. The tract is known as the Cooley ranch and lies ' eight miles north of Morocco, and j two miles east of the famous Bogus i Island, m the bed of what' once wss Beaver Lake. Naturally/* the land' was of very little value. An iifr.. mense dredge canal was cut severgb years ago emptying into thfe Kankav kee river which ■ furnishes most thorough drainage. This must lie improved and When done, all that country can be tiled. Then it is’ valuable. These gentlemen propose ' to improve their purchase up to the top notch. They are men of practical experience and make better what they buy or have. The deal will make them money!—Fowler Era,
