Mr. Sand’s new dwelling is nearing completion. Mr. John Crawford, of Wli atfield township, "and Miss Lora Belcher were married at the bride’s parents, last Saturday evening. Phillips has been visiting relatives in this vicinity. Mrs. Patrick Maloney is visiting her son, T. F. Maloney and family. J. H. Coffin is talking of building a new house, as C R. Peregrine wants him to vacate the one he now lives in. M. P. White isvisitingat J. N. White’s. Mrs. L. W. Hunt has been visiting her parents. Rev. C. Belcher preached his farewell sermon at this place, Sunday, October the 14th. Died, on Oct. 18ih, 1894, Elmira, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Knapp. Her age was 11 years. Little Elmira will ever be remembered as an obedient, loving and thoughful child. She will be sadly missed by her playmates and friends. She was throughout her illness a model of patience and uncomplaining forbearance. ‘Tis the brighest flowers God has planted on this earth which, when only a beautiful bud, are transplanted by his loving care to blossom in heaven. Oh, not In cruelty, not In wrath, The reaper came that day, ’Twas an Angel that visited the green earth. And took the flower away.
