The “Milk Church” Picnic.
The “Milk Church” picnic last Saturday afternoon, was attended by an enormous crowd—fully 1,000 at least. It was held in the court bouse yard, in the open air, the weather being entirely favorable. There was music by Yeoman’s martial band, by St. Joseph’s College band, milk church songs, by the choir, short address by Mr. McCoy andr others. —— ~ - An enormous amount of provisions was furnished f or the free dinner which followed the exercises, but so great was the crowd and so difficult to keep in order, that no doubt many persons were unable to obtain a sufficiency.
