Gillam Township Ticket.
In pursuance to the call of the township chairman, J. W. Stevens, the Republicans of Gillam township met on Saturday, Sept. 29, 1894, and nominated the following ticket to be voted for at the November election: For Trustee, George S. Guild. For Assessor, Frank Osborne. For Justices of the Peace, Harrison Mitchell and C. P. Comer. For Constables, Simeon Ro wen and Warren Swisher.
But THERE ARE PROVISIONS IN THIS BILL WHICH ARE NOT IN LINE WITH HONEST TARIFF REFORM AND IT CONTAINS INCONSISTENCIES AND CRUDITIES WHICH OUGHT NOT TO APPEAR IN ANY TARIFF LAWS OF ANY KIND. —Cleveland’s letter to Ca'chings when the bill became a law.
