The Supreme Court of Alabama lias recently set aside a verdict because after the jury retired to deliberate the judge, who was somewhat sick, directed the sheriff to bring the jury to his hotel if they reached a conclusion before morning, and the verdict was received at the hotel in the presence of the defendants, instead of in court.
