Fine weather. Com looks fine around here. Gat harvest is nearly through, slid soon the buzzing of threshing machines will be heard. W, A. Stiller made a short stay at 111. * C. E. Martin say 9 he has the larggest oats in the state. He had 17 acres and it took 5 pounds of twine to the acre. A fine ice cream supper at H. Randall’s, Saturday night, July 21. Their was another dog bite last week. Mrs. Holman bad one of her cows bitten and it died. They took no notice till Sunday. While burying the cow another ran at the men which was frothing at the mouth. They drove her off and shot her. They noticed Mrs. Holman’s dog act funny but paid no attention to it. The dog has since died but they dont know whether he has bitten anything else or not. Mr. Yates’ team ran away Friday and ran into G. Holmans binder, badly wrecking it and cutting one of the horses on the knee. Rass Winters has been sick but is improving.
