DeMOTTE ITEMS.

Quite a wind and rain storm visited here Sunday, blowing down several -trees-and almost blowing down the hay h»a of J. A. Sigler. The Band held their social in the school house grove last Saturday evening. It was well attended. Proceeds $29, Mrs. Sommers had a paralytic stroke about a week ago, and has been quite sick, but was some better when hst heard fiom. Childrens day was celebrated here yesterday and was enjoyed by all, Speciaf"praise "should De given our worthj’ Superintendent Mrs. C. o.’ Spencer and the teachers that labored so faithfully with the little ones.

Sunday being the end of the third quarter of our Sunday school, the following officers were eleched for next quarter: E. G. Warren, Supt, Mrs. Johu P’rame, asit., Mi&s Lillie Hadley, seev., and treasurer, and Miss Lulu Spencer, organ is\ Don’t forget the 4thof July. The processions competing for the prize banner will form in line at 9:30 sharp. The competing delegations will phase take of the hour and be here on time.
