Roads and Bridges.

The County Commissioners, at their late scsion, contracted with J. D. Adams <t Co., for two small iron bridges. One in Jordan tp., to cost $387.20. Of this the township is to pay $75. James H. Carr, the township trustee, is to superintendent its erection. The other is over the Yeoman ditch, just west of town, on the Poor Farm gravel road. It is to cost $295.50, and of this the gravel road contractors are to pay $75. J. F. Watson, superintendent. Viewers were appointed on a petition to vacate an old and locate a new highway in Carpenter tp., petitioned for by Robt. Parker and others. Viewers, W. S. Russell, John M. Ott and Simon Foster. Date of viewing, June 30. W. H. Churchill and others ask for a new road in Union tp. The viewers appointed are Joseph Lane, John Baker and James Yeoman.
