Gillam Township Graduates.
Gillam Township schools had their commencement exercises at Independence chapel, last Saturday evening. So many people were present that not even standing room was to be had, and great numbers were compelled to remain outside. The names of the graduates and the subjects of their orations were: Oliver Faris, “Business Drudgery.” Cora Faris, “Imagination.” Jennie Logan, “Result of Effort.” Emma Goldsberry, “Life is What We Make It.” Nettie Comer, “Out-look through Bocks.” Emma Rayburn, “They rest from their labois, buttheir works do follow them.” Vermilya G. Rockwell, “Wheat or Chaff?” Sylvia Robinson, “We must build the ladder by which we rise.” Grace Coppess, “What Now?” Besides the above, there was plenty of by the Gillam band, songslpy the Choir, solos, declamations, <fcc. Prof. Joseph H. Long presented the diplomas.
