Massey is having a deep well put do wn on his farm. Mrs. Emma Pullins, is just recovering from a siege of the measles. There was a party at Commissioner B. R, Farris’s last Tuesday night; quite a crowd of young people’ were present and they spent a vtry pleas ant evening. Rev. Moore, a former pastor of the M. E. church here but now located - in North Dakota, preached at Independence chapel Sunday evening and at Medaryville Sunday night. Died, David Richmond, a well known citizen of Gillam tp., May 12, from a lingering and painful disease caused by the grip. He was about 38 years of age, a member of the Christian church and when the. time for bis departure from this life came, he expressed his willingness to go. He leave&a-wife, an infant child, a mother, four brothers and three sistera to mourn his loss. The funeral services wereQheld in the Independence Chapel, conducted by Rev. Hen negar, of Francesville, interment in Independence cemetery. Patrick.
