FROM WHEATFIELD.

Bas nets fair for the Liard tunes. Wheat field slid alive and on the boom. Roads in good condition for this time of the j car. Al! schools in this township which have not already closed, will close this week. Tne chief sport in the vicinity of Whealfield seems to be hunting. Ducks and geese seem to be plentiful, but few town people appear to be fortunate enough to shoot any, but they seem to enjoy wading the mud and water, just the same. Johnnie. Prof. DrELNowels’ school closed last Friday, followed by a successful entertainment m the evening. A neat little sum was cleared and which will be used in purchasing' library books. Mr, Nowels was a kind and esteemed teacher, highly thought of by his pupils, who were very sorry indeed to part with him, but all hope of his return next fall, and may they be granted that favor. Mr. Nowels and family were highly esteemed in this eomirfunity.
