He shall be a resident of one of the townships in which the roads are located, and his compensation shall be not to exceed one dollar and fifty cents per day tor time actually employed and he shall render an account of his time to the Commissioners quarterly at the regular terms of their court, subscribed by oath. Sec. 11. No law or part of law on the subject of gravel or macadamized roads is repealed by this act. Sec. 12. Whereas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist for the immediate taking effect of this act, therefore it shall be in force from and after its passage.
