County Republican Organization.
One or two mistakes and accidental omissions occurred in our list of townsbio Republican committees, last week. In the list as given this week, these are all corrected. There is a big fight on at Delphi over the post-office. An election was held last Thursday, at which J. W.Weidene.r received the most votes. Editor Isher- * wood, of the Times, had been recommended by Congressman Hammond, and thinking he had a sure thing, he would not go into the election. It is probable that Weidviier will get the appointment. In any case it will leave the Delphi Democracy badly torn u P r - ~ It has been the saying of some men that so long as the Lord is with them, they care not-who is against them. In Cleveland’s case' it is not the favor of <Alie Lord but of the London Times he is solicitous about. If, for instance, every American on earth had the manhood to forget party expediency long enough to speak in words the condemnation their hearts must feel for Cleveland’s Hawaiian policy, his equanimity would not be disturbed so long as the London Times continued to approve his course.
