AND THE COUNTY IS FULLY ORGANIZED. The newly elected Republican county central committee met Saturday afternoon, as per call. It was a rousing good meeting, and nearly every township and precinct in the county was represented. All in fact were fully represented except Milroy, Kankakee and Wheatfield. All three of Carpenter’s precincts were represented, each by its precinct chairman. So all were Manon’s three precincts, and Barkley’s two. Far off Keener, Walker and Gillam, each had their township chairman present So also the nearer -townships of Jordan, Newton, Union and Hanging Grove.
Retiring Chairman, Chilcote called the meeting to order. For county chairman the only name proposed, was Thomas J. McCoy, who was chosen by acclamation. It was thought best to have a resident vice chairman for each of the three principal sections of the county, and they were chosen as follows: John Q. La inborn, of Remington, for the south end; George M. Robinson, of Rensselaer, for the central portion; and Chas. 0. Spencer, of DeMotte, for the north end. For Secretary, Chas. E. Mills, of Rensselaer, was elected, and for treasurer, Vai Seib.
