Death of Mrs. Mabel Hardy.
A very sudden and very sad death occured last Monday afternoon, in that of Mrs. Mabel Hardy, wife of A.’ G. Hardy, Superintendent of the county poor asylum, and herself the efficient matron of that institution. The death occurred at the residence of the superintendent, at the farm. She was taken very violently and painfully sick, about 10 o’clock, Monday forenoon. Dr. J. H. Lough ridge was called and lemained with her about two hours. He suspected an internal rupture, but could not determine for a certainty its location. About two o’clock the doctor returned, but found that Mrs. Hardy bad died jast before his arrival. An autopsy was held '/Tuesday morning by Drs. J. H. Loughridge, Washburn and Alter, to determine the cause of her death. It was found to be an internal rupture, from the effects of which she bad died from internal hemorhage. From the nature of the rupture it was evident that death was inevitable from the first. . The remains were taken to Remington, her former home, for interment, and the funeral was held yesterday. A husband and two young children mount the death of this ujoat estimable woman.
