DEATH OF SOLOMON McCURTAIN.

Solomon McCurtain, whose sickness has been mentioned in these colums, died Tuesday, Dec. sth; at his. home in Birkley tp. The cause of his death was chronic Bright’s disease, complicated with a lung trouble. His age was about 09 years, and all his life, or nearly so, has been spent in Jasper county. He leaves a widow and eight children.- The latter ranging in age from four years to grown men and women. The funeral was held the day succeeding his death and interment made in Smith cemetery. Mr. McCurtain was a man of sterling qualities of character and respected and esteemed wherever he was known.
