THE MILK CHURCH.

I am glad that it is now founded on the rock and hope the question may never be asked whether the Rensselaer creamery is going to be closed. The picnic is pronounced by all a grand success. The Milk church is founded on such principles as commends itself to all good people, i. e. the golden rule, unto other as you would have them do unto you” allowing all their full religious and political views. Politically it has no hobby, only the best government and greatest protection and prosperity toils own, people, full of young America and protection to its own people. Believing the employment of the labor is the true way to create wealth and prosperity and that labor is the main producer of wealth. We are a great nation and want no dictation from any other. John Bull not excepted. As to the sisters of the Milk Church, God bless them. They are such as make their dwii. homes happy and set au example to their neighbors that is worth following. Their time is not spent gossiping about their neighbors and the fashion. The way they responded to the call for contribution, to the picnic was most bountiful. I will on the behalf of the Creamery Company thank them, not only the contributors but also those that assisted in the arranging and distributing. The milk church does not pass around the hat or contribution box. Its preachers are all busy milking or having arrangements made, or making arrangements to extend the dairy interests of this county. One word to our large land owners and retired farmers: We ask you to cut up the big pastures, lease them to those that want to handle cows, or what would be better, build houses and barns and stock them with cows T and let some one milk them on the shares, and stand by and cheer them. For God's sake ar;d the prosperity of our county don’t say Hoosiers won’t or can’t milk. They can and will if they are trained a little, and every- : body that i» standing around cheery and encourages them. I am glad that our Catholic friends came to the feast by invitation. The managers of the College and Indian School are to be praised for the manner and spirit manifested. It will give our town an advertisement, as I am told the College and Indian boys have all written home about it. I will congratulate our merchants for tbeir liberality in contributing the dresses and groceries and the coffee and sugar. I think we have the best town and the best people in the state, if not anywhere. We have now all started to develope the dairying interest of. our county, and lets whoop it up until Jasper county wiil be the banner county of this state, and the Rensselaer creamery will be the best anywhere. v More anon.
